With Kermit staring at me, how can one not smile?
So it will be for this year :)

I need to get away.
Why is it so difficult?
On the edge of an impending avalanche.
Deep, dark, black, hole.
Desperately swimming towards the light.
29 years and 10 days.
Foamy hot chocolate and a doughy croissant.
Clipper and mitts.
Shitty music and morning stretches.
Quietness with the black-and-whites.
Small words that matter.
It's in the little things that I choose to focus on, and smile.
I think I'm working the cold like a trooper if I could say so myself.
Running on the 3 coldest nights of the season thus far!
But with jolly smiles and crazy company, I'd do this again any day.
2017, what a year it has been.
I'll be thankful to put it behind, albeit with still some doors not yet shut.
To breathe, and be myself.
To laugh and smile at anything I want, without always looking back for approval or impending judgement.
I would like to be on top of a mountain, doing that 2018 thing, re-looking at priorities,
with the peace, the cold, and the beautiful silence.
So much to give, yet it is as cold as snow.
I don't even feel anymore.
Today, I met the most negative (and depressing) person I think I've ever met.
It made me realise that it is precious to be happy and cheerful and grateful and thankful and satisfied.
But sometimes it is not that easy to be good.
And crawling out of that hole is not as easy too.
But I will get there, I know I can.
More wins than loses right?

It's so beautiful here in Tallahassee every day, be it rain or shine. I'm enjoying every single day and every single moment!
All sorts of clouds and the glow the sky turns after the rain, The pretty yellow brown leaves floating down. The peaceful birds singing, squirrels running and the drip of rain. Falling asleep outside. Sitting by the lake listening to jazz. Beautiful music floating all around.
Inevitably it will come to an end but I will cherish every moment till then :)
