The weekend was good. Went to Blountstown with Caroline and slept out under the stars. We were blessed with a beautiful clear night and as many stars as one can get in Florida, which is quite a lot! Saw faintly, the familiar sight of the milky way :) AND a BIG shooting star, which I made a wish on because Caroline reminded me to! (Otherwise I tend to forget in all the excitement) That same familiar feeling of trying to stay up but being too sleepy. And of course, the mozzies. About 10 face bites! And 4 finger ones. A beautiful Florida sunrise, with birds that are a little too big, and mist on the ground, soaking wet sleeping bag and pillow, and too little pink, but a lot of my favourite light light blue and beautiful clouds. It was all in all, gorgeous :)
Had a good amount of swing time in too. It's been a while so that was welcome :) Did a little hike and had good food and company and laughter.
Biked 150km this weekend too. Cleaned Charlotte and the bike and the room and everywhere so I'm all prepared for September!
Yippppeeeee!
So, I got a parking coupon because I didn't display my temporary permit on Charlotte in the garage. $30 fine! Very expensive and painful!
So I wrote in an appeal and while tuning a faculty studio's piano this morning, I prayed if God would let the fee be waived, that all that money will go towards FeedOne instead. At about that same time, emails came into my FSU mail to say it's been waived because my permit was returned to the office. All in God's timing and planning.
His love is so amazing, words are so inadequate.
Today I discovered that Joplin's original version of his Maple Leaf Rag, is the PERFECT tempo to running track intervals! :)
