I'm suddenly missing TKGS alot.
During NIE band, we play such nice songs: Tsubasa o kudasai, fantasy variations, 4th symphony, disney fantillusion. Reminds me of the times in tkgs. During today's prac, I was really missing tkgssb, especially thinking of xiuyu's poke-poke sound for disney's fantillusion n how I really enjoyed playing tt with her!
I miss wendy.

I miss the circular block.
I miss the classroom block.
I miss the band room.
I miss our practise area.
I miss the music rooms.
I miss the canteen.
I miss the smell of the bookshop. (haha!)
I miss loitering around at weird places in school.
I miss eating unhealthy cup noodles at Caltex.
I miss hearing the luscious sounds of my batchmates.
I miss wearing blue n white.
I miss my F483709.
I miss, just everything about tkgs.
I miss, the place which was my second home for 4 years.
Sometimes, I can remember back to the first few days of school. That feeling of foreign-ness in a strange place, and that place was tkgs. I remember walking around thinking the school was so big and tt i'll get lost, walking along 4th floor from 1e9 to beethoven room, passing by those white walls with paintings on them. (oh yes, my art piece is still hanging in the staircase!) While the PSLs (they were called peer support leaders remember?) showed us the way from our classroom to the hall haha!
It's like 7 years ago.

27th july Sunday. Horrifying. I had to lug a super big bag, a sleeping bag, shoebag, a bag of new piano books for my students PLUS 7 hula hoops! All the way from home, to the bus stop, through 3 buses, and to my workplace. After that, on the bus to Clementi, through mrt, and bus 199 to hall, where I was roomless and spent the night sleeping on sofa cushions at SCRC room with roomie, junijie, and 2 new freshies. Pretty much slept like at 1+am! But I sat a pretty cool bus, something like the nokia bus. But this was done by NTU's Science dept I think! At least the cushions weren't falling apart like the nokia bus. Or maybe they were just newer.
Life's been really good but terribly busy but I'm enjoying it truely :)
Making friends can be such a joy! :)
I think I'm growing more mature. Uni life IS shaping me.
I think I'm a far cry from what I was last year.
I think, perhaps I can actually see myself in the workplace.
Yet at the same time, I'm enjoying ntu's bi team, swim team, hall friends, new class friends, and random ppl!

I like dory alot. She has short term memory loss. Is always high and optimistic. Loves her motto of 'just keep swimming swimming swimming'. And bytheway, she's skinny toO!

School life has been BUSY! So much that I haven't had time to update and upload pics about 2nd Aug concert! Looks like I'll never get around to doing it, but I'll like to say thank u to some ppl!
1) to BOB! For being a nice stand partner, one of the nicest I've ever had. Why? Cuz his sound's nice n luscious. We're IN TUNE! And he adds much fun n laughter to pracs, altho I think we kinda talk abit too much during prac!
2) To all who came to support and thought of me! Thanks to those ppl especially who remembered me and gave me stuffs!
For the flowers, there's VICTOR! melissa! (pam's fren! was pleasantly surprised!) XIUYU N HUIKOON! (for constantly remembering me during concerts altho they can nv come :( ) Siew hui! (from our sectn!) I think I had one more but cant rem who urgh! apologies...

Thanks to neemosupremo n pamwam for the pencil n clip! and to neem for her gay letter :) Thanks to my batch band guys for the chocs n socks. Thanks to my dearest roomie for the yummy donuts! (n for the entertainment her bf brought to us during dinner wahhaha!)
Thanks to flora for the very yummy hershey's chocs! (which satisfied me n my sis' hunger pangs one afternoon in hall) And most of all, thanks to weeshan! Really touched by what she gave. This really nicely drawn clarinettt! plus a note. Amidst preparation for A levels somemore! It must've taken some time, especially seeing I wasn't the only one. Really sweet of her! :)
And last but not least, a great big thank you to leewei! Who came down all the way. Really really appreciated it :)
Thanks to everyone for the support! Really surprised so many ppl actually thought of me, considering I only sold uh 2 tix? Haha! But I wasn't THAT friendless during the interval after all. Met many familiar faces! Dragged edmund along with me! PLUS there was the nice nice fireworks from ndp rehearsal during interval! How nicely timed! :)
We stayed in macs till like 2am+ and one more thanks, to LUTHER! For driving us nelians back to our doorstep! Had quite a nice time in the car with cheryl luther lols n mj :)
It's 1am and I've 830 class AGAIN tmr! It's like, it always seems to be 830. Last week, I had FOUR days of 830! Trying my best to catch up with readings. Somehow the days seem long. Like yesterday night seems an eternity ago. But it's ALREADY WEEK THREE.
I was reminded in church about this verse which is really nice! It comes from Isaiah 40:30-31, a verse I depended upon during working life last year, when I worked 7days every week.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
2nd August Sat. Met marilyn at city hall at around 9.45am and we almost got lost walking to Millenia Walk for the Citi Foreign Exchange Trading. It was pretty fun! But we didn't know what we were doing! Haha and so we did pretty badly! Haha! But it was fun :) And the 2 guys in front of us were like the best in our challenge. They earned the most money! And kept high-fiving throughout. Like dots. The food afterwards was VERY good tho! Western! With spaghetti, coleslaw, fried fish w mayo, n fries! :) Had to make a BIG detour all thanks to ndp rehearsal when I tried to walk from marina square to vch. I'll blog about concert another time with pics! Cuz haven't gotten all the pics yet!
3rd August Sunday. A terrible me with severe lack of sleep had to drag myself down to teach from 930-6.45pm! Only with a 30min break. But I survived. Afterwards met ttk for Pizza hut yummy dinner! :)
4th August Mon. FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. I had driving in the morning. Where I got more convinced I won't be able to pass circuit! Then, headed to school immediately after. Met Marilyn (late again!) at FAL to print stuffs etc before going for aa202 lecture at LT19! After which we went to NIE to buy texts and I came back n did the usual 5.5km run. Slept late cuz leewei came over n we talked while I packed the room for the first time since moving in! Did I mention living with sis rocks! I didn't do ANYTHING but bring things in dump, and go out again. And yet the whole place is dust free, clean, and my bed was MADE!
5th August Tues! 830am I had aa201. First seminar of the new academic year. I was enthu and volunteered as class rep to up my class participation points by my level! wahaha. Seeing how it constitutes 10% and how I simply REFUSE to speak up in class. After 1030 we had nothing else on. After FAL-ing, I took a short swim at SRC. It was an interesting day, and a VERY crowded pool. The lifeguards were there. Sis' fren Jonathan was there. Bekky came too! And so did leewei. I did a 1.5km and spent the first half trying to dodge ppl. The pool was so choppy, I think it was like a mock sea-swim! Afterward had driving at ubi and went home for dinner. Taught the two little kids a make-up piano lesson, then dad fetched me back to hall where I did some readings till I fell asleep pretty much early.
6th August Wed! ab228a 830am AGAIN. Quite boring. I don't like ppl to ask what're your career goals and that was exactly what we had to answer in class. SO dots. After that, walked with Marilyn to NIE again. She went to buy books and I went for AAI181 on Romantic and 20th Century Musical Practices elective class. Met tons of band ppl there. Made some new friends. And was sorely disappointed because tHAT was not what I was expecting at all. I just didn't like the entire atmosphere. And to me, studying music is NOT like that at all. Very disappointed :( Met vivien for lunch at NIE canteen and had a good chat! After which came back to hall, fell asleep for awhile, prepared finish for tmr's sem's class, some readings, and headed to SRC for training.
VERY strange. You know biathlon is swim then run. But ever since I really joined them in March, I've yet to EVER do a swim then run situation. Really strange since usually that's their norm trainings! But we did run first cuz the pool was pretty crowded with swim team and lifeguards. Sumiko trained us. At least I didn't die although we did like skipping. So I discovered how to skip on wednesday. 10x400m interval. Which was pretty okay cuz we went at a okay interval. We did some drills which left my butt aching like nobody's business. Swam a little.
Marcus made me go up to the band room. Imagine, after training, still had to climb tHAT long flight of steps! And so we concluded, it's REALLY long. So he tried the horn for the first time in uh 5 years? Haha. And so at last I got to see and hear him playing the horn. How funny! I saw Mr Oura also. So after Nanyang House we walked to Ah fang to meet the rest for dinner. Lance stepped on shit which was damn smelly. AND like I predicted, by the time we reached back hall, it's 12midnight!! I KNEW IT. Sigh. So by the time I bathed and waited for my hair to dry (NO HAIRDRYER!) and did a little readings, it was 1+am :(
7th August Thurs. 830am AGAIN. Marilyn was late again. And somehow I got a new name 'Justin'. I wondered what happened to 'James'. Anyway don't you think marilyn should work at Merrill Lynch! Sounds the same RIGHT! WHAT A WASTE for our aa202 project group :( I think next time marilyn and me should just be together only. THEN good things will come our way hahahhaha. Now I like my aa201 group but not 202 :( Sigh I forsee uncomfortable-ness. I mean our classmate for some long doesnt even know me n marilyn's name. Like huhh.
We went NIE agAIN. To line up to buy Scotts. The queue was so long, end up no Scotts. And I was LATE for driving. So I spent the whole afternoon going to Ubi at 3pm for driving. Being convinced I can't pass. And travelling all the way back with a dead hp and many ppl trying to contact me. Reached back around 6.15 and was considering going for swimming training when Marcus asked me to go NIE. So I went and got accepted into NIE without having to audition. Lots of ppl's names I know on the list. But marcus doesn't wanna join there anymore :( But I guess I might go on Friday just to see how. After that, since he was going to intro to capoeira I kinda was dragged to go as well. Had a little fun learning some moves. Except that since I was late again, a little lost again. And seeing how noob I am at these kinda hand leg coordination thingy, hAHA. Thank goodness for marcus. I just followed him! But it was a pretty cool experience.
We went back for block supper! Didn't really get to know ppl from my block sadly. Thank goodness for marcus n leewei who came over to find me after sometime! Altho I know it's the food tt they came for. Haha. But STILL! So marcus leewei me n their og group's best freshie shaun went for supper hop around the other blocks. Since it was pouring and marcus was stuck in hall 15 anyway. haha. block71 had yummy PIZZA plus POPCORN CHICKEN. So we recruited more ppl like xinyi and made our way around! Ended up at 69 and with marcus' OG hearing them talk nonsense till late. Hardly did much work before sleeping.
8th August Friday. Swam with leewei in the morn. Met bekky again! And we tried to recruit this other girl who was swimming! Met sis! Slept a little, came home. Ran my 9.2km. Aching everywhere.
One week ago somehow seems like an eternity ago! Long days are the culprits!

It's been AGES since I last blogged! The longest record I must say. Well, it's cuz life's been B-U-S-Y! Hardly any time to take a breather. But I'm enjoying i must say :)
Two weeks ago, 25th July Fri, the hectic-ness all began! There was band prac at tj at night which ended horrifying late. Thus, a late night.
26th July, Sat. 2 piano kids, 2 tuition, combine at tj hence, late again. It was fun though cuz alot of ppl were amazingly there! From my batch I mean.
That's us, walking at Bedok interchange to our usual hangout at Macs! Where we sat the round round chairs!
28th July Monday. Had to get up at 9+am to prepare for pool games. I guess it went well (I hope!) Although it was tough shouting and getting ppl to listen to you and to run the whole game. But I had fun and I hope they did too! SUNBURNT! Pool games were at like 11am to 1pm! Following which they had Campus Walk games around school which we didn't join. hM and me went walking around to get the key from the freshies. And after flopping onto the sofa cushions in SCRC room for awhile, we went to paint a banner! With Jiande and Yiming and later Derren. 
Nice right? Wahhaa. Any guesses as to what the brown thingy underneathe the welcome is! I painted the white parts! hM wrote the welcome words plus her uber cute giraffe haha. Although I still think giraffes are yellow with brown spots!
Chilled out quite abit in Leewei's room after programmer briefing for the next day's events. Took a shower and followed the block out for block supper! Got to know a few ppl from our block. Pretty nice ppl :) We got back early and played our latest favourite game, the bang-bang game, with block70 seniors, sitting in the middle of the carpark! Till latelatelate. THEN, I sat a motorbike for the first time! Thanks to John! :) It was G-R-E-A-T!! Super shoik mann! Then, sat alex's car and went up to 140km/hr! TWICE. Couldn't stop um-chio-ing. It was super cool! Yet another late late night! This time round, the freshies had their room alr, so did junjie. So shumin and xinyi came down for the aircon instead!
29th July Tuesday. We woke up early! 830am assembled for dragonboat at kallang! I joined them in rowing. Pretty good experience I must say. Like I said, an experience. Although I was quite hopeless at it haha! Sunburnt yet again! Took the lorry over to Fort Canning Park as we we were stationed there for Amazing race. On the way there dropped by at icantrem where to get drinks where we saw TP catching ppl for jaywalking! Xinyi n me took the castle area, hM tiffany n john went somewhere further down. We got bored sitting down there so we both climbed the castle and sat up there n shouted down instructions! I thought the game was simple but fun! It was a 100plus day. I drank like 1 bottle and 2 cans I think. Thank goodness for xinyi's mp3 and cool small speakers plus her pack of cards where she showed me card tricks! BUT refused to teach me how to do them :( Anyway, we finished at around 5. And while waiting for the van to come pick us up, we cam-whored! All thanks, to JOHN. For 45 whole minutes we took pictures. IMAGINE! Considering how I don't usually like to take pics, it was actually fun :)
I went home after that. Bathed, ate, and dad came to pick me up at 8+ to bring the fridge and stuffs to hall, after picking sis up at J.P. After moving everything in, sis left, and I went over to block 72 lounge to join the other gal programmers there who didn't go camp christine. Played card games with hilarious forfeits! I think all of them rock. They're so ON! Thanks to james and his ghost stories, everybody refused to sleep till like 1+am. So there was Xinyi and me left in SCRC room.
30th July Wednesday. They went to buy supplies for the outdoor cooking, while I followed not-so-familiar block72 ppl in the lorry over to camp christine! It was red lipstick drawing day! Pretty fun. Didn't do much but sit around and get more sunburnt. Fun tho :) Left camp christine around 5+ to get a ride back to hall, where I started getting addicted to milo. Headed over to Bedok for band where hM and me died on the mrt. Band was cool, with Lin Sheng conducting! But he only did a shortwhile and other one took over. So sian. Didn't stay to eat but went home after that.
31st July Thursday. Didn't join them for floorball in the morning. Reached hall at around 2+ where they were having SP Preview part 2, revealing body parts, mainly noses. It's rather funny to watch! After all the noise, they left for SP night at 4+. We left for North spine at 530pm! To prepare for fright night. PIZZA for dinner! It was yummmyyy :) Suppose to start at 1230am, we started at 1am instead! And finished like at 6am+. It was quite boring and hot inside the room. But I thank God for His care and protection! :) Everybody was abit =X seeing it was like the first day of the 7th month haha. By the time I reached back to hall and bathed it was like 7am! BED WAS MADE! Sis rocks haha. So knocked off till 12+, where we got up to meet for lunch at function hall.
1st August Friday. It was a day to drink MILO! I drank like 2 packets and a can! Since we were stationed in the function hall, didn't need to move. (thank goodness! cuz it was freakingly HOT outside) We spent most of our time sleeping actually. Toilet paper roll as my pillow haha. Cuz the groups took SO long to come. We were so bored such that I acTUALLY agreed to play memory game with lols.
Sadly couldn't stay to see the end of FOC camp, or for the bbq either! I headed down to SMU, where I reached rather late and the entrance was like IN FRONT somemore. So paiseh when I entered. The talk was boring cuz I was like late and a little lost. The sandwiches were nice tho. TUNA SANDWICH! For my dinner. I even ate the tomatoes. I sat with Chiki and Marilyn! So funny, considering chiki's like my jc classmate. After the talk we walked to dhoby ghaut mrt! We walked by the Nationals Arts Museum and went 'WAHHHHhhh' cuz they had very nice lights projected onto the exterior of the museum which changed occassionally. VERY nice! Go check them out one of these days! I reached home about 10 plus but couldnt sleep! Had to mug finish the foreign exchange thingy first. But I gave up at 11+ and went to sleep.
FOC was GOOD GOOD GOOD! :) I reaLLY enjoyed myself :) I think out of this whole camp, I decided I really DO like making new friends. And I think John rocks big time! He took such good care of me n hM during the entire camp. I really really wanna say a bIG thank YOU to him! And provided much fun and entertainment too! haha. I think they all rock :) I wanna do FOC again next year! But a little hesistant cuz lols won't be there with me :( And it'll really be VERY different :(
