I've been pretty slack over this past week!
Monday morning woke up at unearthly hours to have driving at 8.15AM. Somehow I couldn't park for nuts. Don't ask me whyyyyy. He had a student after me and due to shortage of time, part of the lesson included driving HOME from toa payoh. It was the open roads with the morning traffic, travelling at 60km/h! I'm quite honoured the need to get to his next venue outweighed the horrors of my driving such that he even considered the thought of releasing me driving onto the main roads.
Marina square for porridge buffet with seniors + marilyn n damien. Marilyn commented it's like two big brothers bringing their little sisters out for some outing. HOW TRUE. haa. Chocolates from Japan! :)

It was then off to esplanade. I love that place :) It's just SO artsy. I like! Some cool exhibits along the way some time back.

Zoomed to airport to pick sis and ended up pushing her around terminal 3. It's SO EMPTY. LOOK! Not a single person in sight. Well the pic is a little blurred cuz I was trying to walk faster than mom so that I can snap a pic before she entered the pic. BUT she was walking like a bullet train so before I could stabilise she kept entering the pic.

So from home, we flew to airport, down to sis' place at kent ridge, then back to central. Ate dinner at Whampoa food centre. FULL.
Headed to school on Tuesday for Astro and subsequently spent a few hours in lee wee nam photocopying scores! Wednesday was more of the same, except that we shifted out at night. So it's home sweet home permanently.
It was pretty depressing, to walk along PPCC and see the noticeboard with a humongous poster of an evil looking mozzie (i hate them!) and the poster saying: No matter where you live, it can still find you. how true how true.
Thursday was esplanade in morning to return scores and to borrow the duet book! You know, how I love that place so! I can't imagine how ppl don't know that place. It's a chocolate haven too looking at the number of chocolate shops. At 12.45pm, I was still AT ESPLANADE. and my lesson was suppose to start at 1.30pm. So I reached school about an hour later with the lecture JUST starting. Not bad not bad.
I went back tj with ex-roomie (haha!) yesterday and we sat in for their last prac before today's concert. Hearing Lin Sheng conduct was amazing. The tj sound is still there after all. I was really simply filled with joy, to hear how he kept tuning oh-so-patiently and not giving up till perfection was achieved. It can be really tiring and boring to keep tuning and tuning, but lin sheng being lin sheng aimed for THAT sound. The ball, he was saying :) And together, they tried and tried till the sound wasn't so harsh. Tjband IS love :) It was really so nice to be back!
(taken after alumni last weekend)

Well, the place is REALLY a junk yard. First, I commented to lols. Then, ms chew said: Nowadays band room cannot walk one. Then when we met mr wong outside school after dinner, he said: wah the band room uh! Every time before concert lidat one.
I shudder to think the state of the band room NOW. But excusable larh. There's props after all. Hope stageband will be good. I think whatever it is, tjband will always be tjband :) I think, I like the brasses aLOT. The tbones are pretty cool and the basses are rather nice and the horns sound good together! Trumpets quite powerful altogether. Saxes have nicenice sounds! And I simply love ke jian's playing. Maybe I'm biased, but his sound to me, has a special quality which floats and has a life of it's own.
Heard ms chew give her "you-wont-remember-your-tutorials" speech for the umteenth time haha. But it's true. AND it's like wah so fast THEY're graduating already. Time really flies.
Wenyi is a pretty cool guy. The play was nice. Except my butt kinda hurt from sitting so long in one position afterward. Took 13 home with a 1hr bus ride. My butt was seriously dying after that.
I like quotes. I saw this on some construction site on the bus: Don't test gravity, check your safety.
I found it pretty amusing.
Another one on the NEL line. They used to have many nice quotes back then when I was in secondary school. Here's one recently: A good criterion for measuring your success in life is the number of people you made happy.
I like the city hall raffles place VCH esplanade area. Looking at the marina bay area is really a wonder! Look at the number of cranes in that area. No wonder the construction industry has such a high demand. The landscape is really going to change aLOT in the coming years!
I LOVE TJBAND. I can't wait for tonight's concert, it's gonna be the Prelude 28! To think that I've been to every Tjband concert since Fiesta 2002, Prelude 23, Fiesta 2003, Prelude 24. Played in Fiesta 04, Prelude 25, Fiesta 05, Prelude 26. Played as alumni for Fiesta 06, Prelude 27, Fiesta 07. And this is gonna be a tj concert I'm there as an audience since before stepping into tjband :)
Qtz's poser orange shoes!

The chicken rice aunty talked to me that day. She was asking me what I'm doing now and was commenting how time flies. From a secondary school kid, to JC, and now finish uni one year already! I think alot of coffee shop stall holders know me =X since the days in sec school where I ate out like almost EVERY single meal EVERY day.
OKAY! today's the 10th of may :)
