Did pretty much nothing yesterday except packed up my room in hall so it's pretty neat now! :)
1hr to 2hrs is such a big gap. 5hrs? (*worried!)
So I did a 2hrs anyway. 2 rounds around school and many rounds around the track. Ran from 5-7pm. It's really strange how the sun can zap so much of my energy. How to run in the sun like that? Yest, ppl lapped me. Cuz I was really crawling. Saw Angela and the touch rug team again. Met the old man who paced me the day before going opposite direction around school. Ran by Jessica (from church) but didn't say hi. Met Boyang at hall 5 area. Sam soh (from tkgs 1/9) was running too.
I think NIE band was pretty good. I was late and had 2 slices of peanut butter bread (thank goodness I prepared them in advance) and an apple for dinner. At 7.30pm I just left hall! (when band supposedly starts at 7.30) thank goodness I caught the bus!
It was a pretty nice prac I think. I think somehow attending tj band pracs makes me happier during band? We played nice songs. I like those kind that you dun have to prac much but still can play wahaha. So we started with Disney's Fantillusion, Star Wars, Yamato, Tsubasa, Pocohantas, Miss Saigon, Woman in White. Prac ended at like 10.55pm with me half dead. It was real tiring. But I felt real happy playing!
Guess I felt better cuz for that period of time practising for the test, I had time to listen to myself and confidence returned I guess. So I played louder, and tried harder to sight read correctly. Plus it's after exams so not so tense about school work etc.
Fantillusion. We played that during tkgs. I was um-chio-ing alot while NIE played cuz it was really good to hear such a strong brass. During our time, the trumpets were like idunno. I didn't even know there was a tpt solo at G, till I listend to the recording. NIE's trumpets are like WOW one whole row of them! I saw golden euphonium for the first time (I don't recall seeing one before) yesterday. It's like so golden! Tbones have gy and tim so pretty cool. Horns are like let's-not-talk-abt-it. There're SEVEN tubas. So the bass is like bass-y!
PLUS PLUS PLUS, tt disgusting out of tune sax wasnt around, and instead I sat beside this guy who produced such luscious sounds! I um-chio-ed SO MUCH especially during yamato! Imagine! Really so nice! Luscious tone plus IN TUNE. Like my ears were so thankful. I think this seating arrangement is good. 2nds play alot of similar parts with saxes. So it's pretty good to sit beside them I feel. I don't like our alumni seating arrangement haha.
Okay time to go for alumni and meet my favourite friends!
