Nothing beats my tjband friends! :)
Down in the dumps today as I couldn't swim. Haven't been able to swim. Lost the feeling of floating across the water and highly doubt the effectiveness of everything :(
Band test was okay except that I played some mistakes :( I think I really like to go for these sort of clarinet tests. I like people to hear me play. (NOT hear me practise cuz I sound disgusting) Like Wendy was saying, how often do you get to go on stage to perform on the clarinet solo with everyone listening to you. Hmmmm. GOod point. But how often does that happen on the piano too haha. BUt nah no thanks. I may be giving up the chance of a lifetime to play but yup I am giving it up!
Was feeling very sulky and lazy to go for the run. But went ANYway... The attempt to run hills failed miserably with me running into the SRC instead to seek solace on the track due to the overwhelming pollution coming from the exhaust of the big friendly buses. So I totalled a 40mins of track, and one round around school.
Have been pretty bored all alone here and there. I mean, duh. I talk to myself most of the time! Starting of the run at around NIE I was already like, dots I can't move on, I'm really so unmotivated, and I've NO ONE to run with, I really CANT run anymore and started to talk to God about it, then while I was running up the terrible hill, choking on exhaust, this guy appeared behind me and was running up too. I guess he must've been going at a rather fast pace to catch up with me (altho I was crawling) cuz I didn't see anyone anywhere when I started off. And it's pretty amazing cuz running the route often enough, u know it's rare for somebody to be running the same route, same direction, same place, unless you started out sometime together. So he was going at a faster pace, and I decided to keep up, and amazingly I ran faster than him! And he followed behind for some time all the way till nbs area where he disappeared. I was reallyyy thankful for that short span of company though. What a miracle.
The exhaust made me give up on ideas for 2 rounds and I ran to the track, only to find alot of activity going on, with this group of China people having some relay competition on the track. Surprisingly met Pingwei there. (At long last lols, I confirm plus chop know who's he alr haa) He was one of the ppl helping out at that event. The reply to my qn of "what event is this?" was "i dunno? just helping out". haa what a joke. Grass running is really quite bad. So tiring.
Ended up having a VERY good run tho :) The weather these days have been lovely with VERY beautiful sunsets! So please, if you're in Singapore, don't be inside at 5-7pm. The weather out there is lovely! Many ppl and activities going on in SRC. So I was pretty occupied. Ran on the outer-most lane. After running for what seemed like forever, I looked at my watch and it said 9mins passed. THe quote 'Life is short. Running makes it seem longer' has never been so apt. Numbers can be your friend at times like this -- I started counting rounds.
Girls touch rugby were training. Angela waved hi! Got to know her during astro elective during the hols, one of liling's friends! Guoxin was like "WHY do I always see u at the track" haha. The last few rounds, this old guy ran out from the tennis courts area and started running. Apparently our pace was like totally in sync. And since I've already been running for 50mins leisurely, decided to push it a little and he kept up! But his pace was abit of fast slow, but for about 3-4 rounds I kept it at a pretty faster pace than usual and it was like tHat. Pretty interesting. To find someone whose pace is the same and who seems comfortable at that pace too! Coolbeans.
I ran back to hall via the back way. BUt I'm still worried. 1hr to 5hrs is aLOt of difference :(
But seriously, I mean so much running company in one day? When I've been running so much in the past few days and only seeing Marty. Miracles do happen when you pray to God and nothing too small is considered trival such as running company for Him to listen to! :)
It was a pretty good run in the end, seeing how I lapped Buddhist society girl and Canbera CSC Swim team girl countless times. (The shirts they were wearing) haha.
And yes, the SAF exercise is to see how they can turn a road into a runway. Read about it in the papers. So there goes my cycling these days. But I think I'll cycle more next week since I'll be cutting down running nearing the days of stan chart. *gulps*
I wanna do a proper one, like what marcus said. (Oh yes, and I haven't talked to him for like the longest of times so it was nice to chat a little, except the line was cut off twice, once cuz he was in the mrt, another when my hp batt died) But seeing how unprepared I am, sighhhhhhhh. I dun wanna do it again though :( SO looks like too bad, just go for it and attempt to finish! Yes, I want the shirt :)
