9:33:00 am
Feeling random.
I just had the longest conversation with my bro on the phone lasting 1min50s.
Thick milo is the best drink on earth. Maybe I should've told the Nestle interviewer that.
I just completed my first cycle with joyriders and was dropped bad!
Haha okay maybe not THAT bad.
Left home at 6.45am.
Surprisingly Longhouse is very near.
We started off at 7.17am and reached NTU at about 8.32am.
Went up to max speed of 47.7km/hr!
Mandai was closed so we went a long loop, passing by Woodlands, Marsiling!
They went really easy in the beginning.
On reaching the ulu-ated areas it was crazy and anything with any resemblance of a gradient upwards I died.
Thanks to the nicest sis who helped me along although I thought I was gonna die.
Lim Chu Kang never seemed so long.
Jalan Bahar never so welcoming.
About 42.85km in below 1 half hours. (Quite low mileage actually!)
Change of plans and I ended up cycling with them all the way to NTU.
Now that the first ride is over, I can't whine anymore on the next ride cuz I'm not the noob that I was anymore!
Yesterday was my first and last IVP biathlon.
Wasn't prepared really.
Surprised with my timing of 13.44 for 800m swim!
Really thought I'd have difficulty hitting sis' set target time of 14min.
The run was hot, and not so good.
But I finished 4th with overall timing of 38.43 I tHInk......
Then I started taking random pics using random ppl's cameras.
So I dunno where're all the pics now.
The making of the collage was fun but didn't get to see the captains' reactions!
Hope they like it!
I think we should've all just wrote on it if I'd known Marcus didn't bring the cards.
So dots.
I really admire all sorts of captains.
That kind of admiration is purely admiration, and no desire on my part to ever be one.
Cuz I can't be bothered to be so self-less and giving and motivating.
I'd rather be concentrating on my own performance.
Happy that all sorts of competitions are over.
Now to mull over whether to join anymore.
And feel happier that I can have hardcore mad training sessions without having to worry about tapering and what not in view of races!
And as usual, when I have to sit down and do work, I start to do nonsense, like reading the latest book Rod lent. Somehow, what they write, is always so true.
Quote: The toughest part of triathlon is getting out the door. Get out the door and go to the pool. Get out the door and ride your bike or take a spin class. Get out the door and put one foot in front of the other for a run around your local high school track. For triathlon, you only need to 'tri'. I'm serious about this. If you go to the pool, you will become a better swimmer; if you ride, you will become a better cyclist; and if you run, you will become a better runner. Guaranteed.
Like how I was totally lazy to get up this morning but I knew if I went for the ride it'll be good. Hopefully I'm a better cyclist now! :)
