What an expensive fall -- $307!
On Friday, had lessons since 830am. We spent 1half hrs answering ONE question from a case! It's a past year exam question. Marketing was lonnng. After which we continued having marketing project meeting till like 2.20pm! Grabbed a plain yummy waffle after which I headed to the pool where it was too crowded so gave up swimming after about 25mins.
Thanks to the captain, (zhijie haha and his "like my friend says, I'm not musically inclined but inclined towards music) he picked me up at about 5+ and we headed down to pick up the ex roomie, and ate a very yummy dinner at can4! I'd like to go back there again :) Reached Nanyang Audi for SSO concert slightly late and missed 2 songs haha. It was a pretty short concert. I'm not too sure about violin standards but I wasn't quite so impressed with the solo violinist. Somehow sounded rather out of tune? Somehow can see Wendy standing there and I can't wait to hear her playing when she gets back to S'pore :)
But I heard lusciousness frm the clarinettist. (UM-CHIO!) And I liked the flute sound alot. The very bouncy happy light flying hao siang sort. Not forgetting the oboist :) Except that when both played together they were kinda clashy haha. Loved the woodwinds most. And the brasses were powerhouses :)
But I don't quite think they deserved a standing ovation. Like FAR from it.
Next up, book your calendars! 15 May! Rach's 3! Although I'm still waiting for the day when I get to hear Rach's 2 live :)
THANKS TO ZHIJIE! For trusting enough in my driving skills that he let me drive back to hall! :) First time driving a manual car since I passed my driving! After ttk's van driving experience and dad's van also. Coolbeans!
Then I set off from NTU to NUS. Thank goodness I didn't get lost. I think I know the route well enough already! 4 times or so. Met sis at 2 other friends at 7 eleven there and they brought us on a new route home. Supposedly lesser cars. But I thought it was so scary though. Many close shaves with crazy cars. And they cycle rather dangerously. (On a random note, I think ppl who do the cycling handsigns n all r very cool ppl haha!) Apparently the route is like SUPER ULTRA LONG. I'd rather climb the hills of lornie road (which isn't that bad) and get home faster.
But it was a nice night cycle especially and more interesting when cycling with new company. Clocked like 35+km? It should've only been like 30 or less isn't it? It was pretty crowded till we got to the ulu place of Mt. Pleasant. Pretty fun to cycle there! Enjoyed the trip :)
Braddell was jammed and squeezing between the cars was seriously scary. So we decided to go on the pavement and thinking back, I actually wanted to dismount and push. What's wrong with that :( And so I fell into the side of the longkang grass there, and my bike fell right INTO the deep longkang. And so I literally fished my bike out by holding the front wheel and climbing up and I was just thinking 'ouch ouch pain pain'. The next thing, I looked down and saw this whole stream of blood and blood-soaked shoe and sock. In just a matter of a few seconds it was soaked. So gross.
Thanks to sis' friend Timothy who cycled back home and drove here to drive us there. I think there's something wrong with my pain sensors cuz it wasn't much pain after that. Except I think for the first time I almost fainted. I've always wondered what it feels like. I think I ALMOST. But the sweet drink saved me together with lying down on the floor.
So we got to this 24hr clinic in Bishan where the doc didnt dare and told us go A&E and we ended up going to Mt. Alvernia cuz it's very nearby. So disgusting it kept leaking and leaking blood. It was like a HOLE in my leg. And the thought of STITCHING IT sounded so gross. And they kept saying time for the sewing machine!! Haha. It was nice for it to get cleaned up though. And I got a anti-tetanus (or wadever) jab which the staff nurse guy said "actually, yarh it'll be pain" but it wasn't actually. Phew.
Lying on the bed there, there was a cross on top of the wall there and somehow just made me think, I have one ripped up hole in my leg and I'm already feeling like this, so scared and disgusted. Imagine, Jesus, they lashed him with thorn whips all over his body. It must have dug into the skin and torn out chunks pretty much like mine but x1000 times. Imagine a thick nail being borne into your hands. OUCHHHHH. And He did it all, for me. I'm filled with so much disgust at the bloody mess and yet so in awe, that His love for me is sOoo amazing.
Awestruck.
The most pain part of the entire thing was him poking right into the wound to put the anaesthetic. It's like something sharp poking right into your fresh raw wound. The funniest thing was halfway, the thing kinda burst. And sis said the needle was actually left stuck in my wound. Thank goodness for anaesthetic. So gross when he was closing it up. EWWWWWWWWWwwww. Just so disgusted. I'll never wanna do cross-stitch again.
So I got 5 stitches. And I was covering my face the entire time refusing to look.
I guess it's a good time for this to happen. I'll never fall again. It's too expensive. Funniest thing is I wasn't even going faster than 10km/hr. Sigh. But it's good to take a rest, and study. And just rest, although I like the stage I'm at now.
Can't run, now can't swim also :( Time to work up the muscles and do stretchcords! Train up my abs, and STUDY!
