I like reading the NUS' ppl's blogs. It's motivation, especially when I'm feeling in need of it. Sometimes I do wish I was there, in the team, not the school haha. But currently, I'm feeling quite quite motivated! To move faster. Oh, I also wonder where they get all the money from to constantly go overseas for races!
Thus far, I've had many many many things to say but haven't had time to blog at all! So I'm doing so now, during my lunch break. 8mins left.
Saturday was a little madness. Ride with Rod was cancelled (cuz he pangseh!) haha. So then that left me time to cycle anywhere with sis instead. BUT she pangsehed too :( :( :( Hence I left at 6.30am instead and was thinking of doing a lone ride along the thomson hills. Started off heading towards adam. Seeing the throngs of cyclists going the opposite direction persuaded me to try joyriders since I happened to be around that area for once near 7am on a saturday with some time to spare! So at the junction of adam and lornie I crossed around.
My big chain hasn't been very friendly recently. So it decided to drop out the the end of lornie road, thomson flyover, as such I was stuck midway on the flyover dirtying my hands cuz I forgot how to put back a dropped out chain :( As such I reached longhouse a litttleee later.
It was cool :) Thank goodness for cassandra popping by to get me started! I still wonder why climbing lower pierce reservoir hill with jr feels so different. It was pretty no-kick. But I got dropped after half hour I think. I'd like to think it was cuz I didn't use big gear for fear it'll drop out and then I'll REALLY be dropped and there goes the ride. But I think it was cuz I was really slow.
And so at this junction when I just lost sight of the pack, this ang moh whizzed by me, and we both stopped at some junction where he asked me 'you know the route?' I was like 'uh no?' and he said 'I was following you'.......... Thank goodness this slow angmoh zoomed by and he knew the route. Although he was rather slow. So the 3 of us cycled on, with many many twists and turns throughout ponggol hougang etc. I was thinking to turn back soon soon soon, but then I passed the point of no return cuz we turned too many times and I couldn't remember the route.
As such, I went the entire route past changi village and did coastal on my own, not knowing my speed cuz my cateye said ZERO.
Will continue, soon!
