WEDNESDAY
For the rest of the afternoon after I got back (from buying 2 pairs of nice slippers using up the World of Sports voucher), I holed myself up in my room and played my clarinet.
First training! It was really good to be back at SRC pool! :) Turnout for swim training was rather alot! :) Good training though. Tried really hard although dunno why I was pretty much drowning.
Sue came to stay over! Rather fun! Okay, self-entertaining haa. I miss school and everybody hanging around! Enjoying every minute of it :) Slept REALLY late though I was totally tired out.
THURSDAY
Woke up at 8+ and left at 9+ to head to prac with my accompanist. Hmmm. A rather different experience from the norm. Somehow. I miss those days of MEP where we accompany each other. It's different when u're a pianist who plays solo instru too. Easier to understand the soloist and to coordinate. Altho it's also my fault mostly cuz I'm not too familiar with the piano part and song and hence unable to lead.
Met Luther and Lols at Vivo. We ate Earle Swensen's! Salad bar! Yummm! I think I can survive on salad bar for breakfast lunch dinner. So filling! We had our 50% Bakerzin dessert! :) And the divided-into-three macarons! Luggage shopped too! :)
When I came back to the swimming pool couldnt find my water bottle though :( Depressing.
FRIDAY
Had a really really nice morning swim with Sue and Rod! Junyang and his jnr too. Nice company, yummmmmyyyyyy yu pian tang lunch! Went to chill at the track to watch mad ppl (like weishing, si kwan and zhibin) run the track at 12pm! Came back to pack the room for the first time (at long last) and then train-ed home to do the last short run for AHM. A really happily SLACK day :)
SATURDAY
In the morn I prac clar, then met MJ to do the scrapbook! It was pretty nice looking at all the old pics and all the nice memories of tjband times :) Went to cut hair. Never had such short hair for so long alr! Went MOF with the band peeps!
The roomie was so touching. She bought me a bottle :) It wasn't till we all said bye at Suntec area tt I realise how much I'm gonna be missing her :( No more 'byes' at random outings/places till at least one year later? :(
Went home for dinner and to do race prep :)
SUNDAY
Pure madness. Army half marathon! Woke up at 4.15am, reached padang by 5.10am. When Leewei first called I was like in the toilet washing up. At 4.50am his SMS threw me off guard: are u there yet? I was like only AT HOME. Was caught a little behind, 2mins off gun time.
I ran. Like really RAN. There was NO JOGGING. Except for perhaps the start. Only drank from 3 water points. Don't quite like stopping to drink water. Stomach feels weird after. At the heading towards ECP part, Jon ma and Serene ran by. They were going rather steadily so I decided to up pace a littleeee just to see how long I can keep up. So, shut off everything else, just follow after the green person. But after sometime I decided to just get dropped. But they were within sight for a good deal of the way!
There was this guy who ran with me almost the entire way! I saw him running somewhere at the start, and was surprised to see him again very near the end, and occassionally too haha. After ECP, it was 10km. Another guy started pacing with me. We went at quite a brisk pace for rather a long part, till he got dropped :( Pacers, can't do without the random ones.
After ECP, didn't quite wanna push at that pace that I was going at. Kept thinking what happens if I walk. Like, please, I CANNOT walk. So I prayed instead, like mentally I've kinda "given up". From here on, God, it's all Your strength. And He carried me through such that I did a 1hr 45min in the end :)
15mins off the previous PB, 5mins off the I-really-thought-impossible goal :)
Loitered around and met many ppl! I think the massaging killed my legs! Met Sumiko and almost the entire NUS team (Angela, Zhiyun, Jonma, QiuRong, Josh, and some other girls I dunno etc etc) Met random ppl like Feroz! Mark (from hall 2) Corinne! Wasn't till much later, that I met the NTU team. Like AT LAST. Was wondering WHERE IS EVERYONE.
I got the "You might be a potential prize winner" tag thingy :) I got 15th going by gun time! Great improvement from 26 last year :) If you compare timings though, it would've gotten me top 10 last year hahhaaaa. But dunno why last year's timings were all rather slow.
Taught 10 kids, 1045-615pm.
Ate bedok ban mian. YUMMMM. Went to the airport to see the roomie off. REALLY good to see Victorrr!!! And all his crap :) It was nice of Rod to go too. Both of them are crap! So I had a pretty nice time just hanging out with them while the roomie settled the stuffs. Mann the manager was damn cool!
Sorry to the band peeps for not hanging out with them for obvious reasons. But the entire thing made me think of alot of things. Hmmm food for thought.
However, it's really too much. I mean, you can't even LOOK at me and talk? It's like I'm forever talking to this person who doesn't reply but just sms-es constantly into the iphone. And okay, what's so funny? It's not very nice to keep laughing at others like that. Truth is, I was quite hurt. Like whatever okay.
Bye hM :( I'll miss her aLOT. ANd she refused to give me a hug! Terribleeeee haha. Ayeeeee.
One year. It made me think. We'll really be very different when we get back. Not in a bad way. SO many experiences she'll be going through, so many I'll be embarking on too. Aye we're all growing up. It's like to final. We won't be schooling together anymore. Sighh
Anw, thanks Victor for ride back! It's fun to sit his car again! :) Bro only came at 1230am and reached hall like 1am+ where early in the morn surviving on the 21st hr I was cursing the dad wholeheartedly.
Somehow can't really sleep properly.
Raining now and there's so much sun! Where's the rainbow?
