I am TWENTY-ONE!

Another record, I woke up at 5.44am (after sleeping at 12!) and couldn't get back to sleep. Soooo......

The month of December has been pretty exciting! Here're some quick updates. Pictures are stuck in the hp and will be added in when I'm back in hall. (I think I should stop using '!' at the end of every sentence)

1st of the-best-month-in-the-year

I cycled back with the sis! About 1hr (plus a little bit) to get through LCK, Neo Tiew, Kranji, Mandai, Thomson till Bishan Park and another 20mins back from there. Rushed to prepare for the interview with AGO and reached there amazingly on time. Potong Pasir to Tpy to Novena is REALLY fast.

I saw the Auditor General! Made new friends in the waiting room. (Ooooh!) And screwed my interview. Altho it was rather a fun chat :)

Walked around Velocity a little bit. Passed by the shop which sells bike stuffs and saw my bright neon green liquigas helmet out on display and I went to ask how much is it selling for. AND it costs $445! But is currently on 30%! (And I wear it on my head!!!)

NETSFlashPay ran out of money ($12 in a few days!!) and so headed home instead, changed in the most unglam clothes (the swimathon shirt cuz I wanted to wear it back to hall) and since I had no slippers, I wore the sis' Nike pink ones, looking REALLY weird and yes, ppl looked at my feet!

Trying to top up the NETS card almost took my patience away.

So I MRT-ed back to pulau ntu. It's been a looonnnngggg time since I last read a book. I was a little worried wondering where that i-love-to-read-books thingy went to. BUT some things don't change cuz I was nose-buried in the book the moment I opened it waiting for the MRT. And yes, I don't quite care if I look like some toot but I was walking everywhere reading. Good book!

Back to school, to do a short one round run cuz the blisters were kinda hurting. Gingerbread plaster to the rescue!

Spent the rest of the night talking to ppl! And doing this and that.

2nd December

Decided to sleep in even though I woke up at 6+ and ended up waking up again at 8+. Spent the afternoon teaching from 11.45am till 4.15pm after which I passed by through town! With the snowmen playing trumpets, reindeers and santa clauses! I like the deco this year!

Ate a lunch-cum-dinner at PS. Haven't stepped into there for uhhh 3-4 months I think! And the funniest thing was I passed by xuemin (with make up) outside Yamaha! I was a little stunned.

Beard papa's eclair puff at last! YUMMM.

And I came home to slack around somemore and read finish the book.

3rd December

Thanks to Jiwen, I didn't have to attempt a ride back alone! (Cuz I bet without him coming along the sis will not ride!) And so I met him and the sis at the entrance into lower pierce and rode back to NTU with them!

I realise everything I have from head to toe, on the bike, is all from the sis. Starting from the ($445) helmet, shades, jersey, tights, sports bra, cleats, socks, bike! Only thing that's mine is my timex watch!

The ride was pretty okay except I was slacking and really DIDNT wanna attempt going any faster beyond comfort level. (up those things which I call hills) AND SO we crawled along. The moment Jiwen went in front he just zoomed off. Unintentionally HAHA. The ride slacked at Neo Tiew cuz of the nail.

I got pushed along LCK! And I really wonder how did Jiwen ride on a flat wheel all the way. 15km!

And so all in all, I'm a happy girl and really thankful for THE SIS for riding with me so many hours despite it being taper week and the she's not supposed to cycle so much!

So I went to swim, met pam and martti and spent a long time talking to pam and swimming lesser. Ate my most favourite ytf, got Jiwen a choc muffin, and took forever to get out of NTU.

Yup I sure got alot of strange looks carrying Spore's fastest male cyclist's wheel all around to J.P. to get back my wheel! Met him and his sister!

I came back to watch finish August Rush. Nice show!

And then realised it was an awesome day and rushed off to my favourite spot at the North Spine to catch what remained of the sunset :)

After which I headed to JE to play with some microfilm and ate the most yummiest chocolate truffle. Heavenly! :)

4th December

The swim was postponed cuz canoe polo was using. So I cycled back instead. A blessing in disguise! Cuz the clouds were dark on the left along LCK. Unfriendly headwinds! It cleared at Neo Tiew. Okay at Kranji. A little dark at Mandai. REALLY dark at Bishan Park. VERY dark nearing our house at TPY side. It drizzled like 6km home. So I sped all the way! It stopped, I slacked a little. It started to drizzle at 2km! The kind which seemed like it'll pour. So I sped and PRAYED ALOT. Thank God really, the moment I reached back it POURED! Like wooooshhhhhhhh.

The ride was pretty fun and I managed to cross all the roads properly! :) And the climbing part at Thomson wasn't THAT bad. And it was green light all the way down! So I really had fun ZOOMING! :)

So since I was a little wet and sweaty and dirty, and it was raining cats and dogs, I changed, took the umbrella and went for lunch, splashing on all the puddles! It was really fun! The things you do when u're still 20 :)

Showered nice and clean and went to NUH. After that met DQ at buona vista and headed to holland v to meet the rest of the bi team for XIAOLONGBAO and more of them. Steamboat! It was funny. We met so many ppl there! Eileen and her i-must-eat-20-xlbs! I think I ate about 14 or 15? YUMMMMmmm. We ordered in rounds of 10 baskets! The lady was looking at us incredulously. It just kept getting wiped out!

My hp died on me cuz bills were unpaid. And so I used manyyyyy hps that day. Motorola, Samsung, NokiaS..... Jiwen must be wondering why so many different numbers haha. But THANKS ALOT ALL FOLKS WHO LENT ME SOME OF THEIR SMSES!

Took a lift in Wilson's car. Squeezy squeezy! Through town! The lights the lights! It was most fun! :) And I was a happy girl! We turned into the lane leading up to SMPS and I was so excited cuz it's been yEARS since I turned into that road. I will go there visit soon! Perhaps on my bike.

5th December

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

I can't believe I actually woke up at 6am. Anyway it was 7am at longhouse. Havent been there for an ETERNITY. The sis came by a little later. And it was such a big honour for me to RIDE WITH THE OCBC GUYS! Jiwen was in OCBC wear too cuz of undried stuffs. So we started off with them and they were going easy but still I managed to keep up for a LITTLLLeeee while. MOST FUN!

Then they sped up and were going west so the sis and Jiwen and me turned around to head to the East via seletar! It was pretty fun! Going a new route I've never been to before. Although I can hardly remember the route now haha. And then we were back at Sengkang, going the norm Sat route.

It was one long ride. I like to ride behind the sis best cuz it's just nice! Like I just stare at her moving legs and try to move mine to the same. (Not always successful of course) I hate to ride in front! We took a few new ways and stops I've never been to before so it was pretty fun. Coastal was winnddyyy and I just hid behind the sis. I bet it was so easy for Jiwen! I tried hard during the ride though! But I died twice. The first they slowed, and tried again after awhile. The second time Jiwen pushed me! And so I caught up with the sis and hung onto her wheel for my dear life.

And then it's home sweet home.

I AM REALLY TOUCHED BY HOW NICE JIWEN IS!

I drank my 100plus since the Nike racepack. Spent the rest of the morning figuring out how to get to Laos. (Friendship bridge? hehe) Lunch with mom and sis at the favourite zi char store. Where I met all the NTU swimteam/polo guys! So funny. APPLE DELIGHTS! OOOooohhhhhh.

Taught Rachel. Then cycled to Lower Pierce, to do some, reflections. And some resolutions. And no, it's nothing to do with eating after dinner haha! Anyway it's been really long since I was there. No sunset as expected cuz it was cLOUdY. But still, peacefully nice.

Thanks alot to the sis for paying my hp bills!

And it seems, the same thing happens every year. It rained last year on my way back. And it did so this year as well. It was FUN to ride all wet though! And it gave my bike a wash from the morn's not-so-clean ride. So my bike's nice and clean now! :)

6th December

MY SECOND LAST SUNDAY! It was a lonnnnnggg day. But I travelled through town again! Stuck in the jam but the lights were really pretty. And then I decided to go Laos after all. So I've booked everything except for the last BKK-SIN flight yet!

I'm gonna go broke BUT after thinking about everything, yes, I wanna go! Altho I'm getting a little worried now that all the excitement is kinda over.

I have never before rode so much in a week! It's about 38km to NTU and home. 3 trips. Plus Sat's long ride. And the extra 12km to the reservoir and back. WOW. The best thing is, my butt isnt aching when I sit!
