Fire!

SO, you know something's not quite right if you're chugging at 40kph on the roads and 60kph on the expressways on a slow gloomy day. I was strangely emo-ing terribly in the van! And I got my wanted detour.

I just wanted to drive around randomly but for the lack of ideas on where I should go, I headed home. Until the Upper Serangoon exit at PIE. I was wondering why at this time on a Saturday there was a queue at the exit. I was positioned just at the bend of the PIE fork. After waiting for a few mintues, I thought it was pretty strange that traffic was a standstill! And then, a bunch of guys in helmets and neon vests ran by carrying a fire extinguisher. And the driver of 2 cars in front of me got out and signalled to us all a big "X" ROAD CLOSE!

Due to my terrible driving skills, I had to reverse. (On hindsight that was pretty unnecessary) And the "Safety Vehicle" was behind me which HONKED at me! So I did a cool cut out onto the PIE. Since I was still in my chugging mood, I chugged by, to check out what's going on! Thank goodness I was chugging and landed at that spot if not I'll be trapped in the jam! Apparently all I saw was alot of smokey stuffs. Not sure if it's from a fire or the fire extinguisher. I think it came from the flyover overhead. Quite a sight!

So, PIE, I got off at the deserted Kallang Way, and turned here and there to end up at Kallang Pudding Road, MacPherson. Where I did a random turn which brought me onto Angsana Ave and then Wan Tho Ave which is back home! Yay I know my roads well!

I'm happy to get my detour after all! Hehe
