Now where did my usual 31st December post went to?
Looking back over 2010
(okay besides doing this always at year end, it's also partly inspired by Marcpok's facebook note haha. Am touched he mentioned meeeeeee!)
It's been one awesome year I must say. Very glad I didn't get to go Canada for exchange in the end although I was rather crushed about that! Staying in Singapore is sooooo much better!
Of races and school, I miss hall badly. I miss the free times around school. I miss swimming in the nice warm clean NTU pool. I miss crapping around with the bi team and swim team peeps. I miss seeing so many ppl I've come to know around in school.
It was a cool racing year. What a strange thing I have with Singapore Biathlon. First year I ever heard of it, I went down with Leewei on the cranky MTB to catch some action. The next year I took part and came in 8th, really wondering 2nd (and 8mins) is soooo far away. Never in my dreams did I actually think I'd win 2nd! God's grace is so amazing. I think, with that win, my motivation kinda ceased. To know that I achieved as good as what the sister did, was more than enough! The rest was just "in motion".
Another cool part of the year was Spain trip. I'll never forget the beautiful sunrises and quiet mornings. Our quaint little town. Running with friends who're the same speed. Living in our little apartment. Having a 1hr run which feels like urm 20mins? Out among watermelon plantations and ducks swimming in the river. Making friends. Of watching cool racings.
And then along came work, which kinda ruined everything good that was 2010. It upset my balance. And everything after that is kinda murky and gloomy and well, not a happy piggy I was at the first half. After half a year I'm still trying to find a compromise. I don't know where I'm heading and ah well :(
Florida was really fun though. REALLY truly awesome things I saw (dolphins and sunsets), met, ate (Smokey?), did (mini golf!).
Every year has been pretty amazing but for this year, I don't know. Ah well.
OKAY I ADMIT I HAVENT RAN SINCE WORLD CHAMPS OKAY.
(but I've been riding!!!)
I WILL RUN, TOMORROW.
I really miss school, and everything about training and school :(
I really miss hanging out with everybody (okay, again triggered by marcus' note)
I really feel like I haven't been myself for a very long time
Those really were the happiest days of my life!
Oh well...................
